Are the price of Nikon d700 are high? Not at all.

I ‘ve been a semi-professional users for digital five years. I started with a Fuji S2, moved to the Nikon D2H (horrible reliability, expensive), D2Hs, D200, D300 and finally the D700.

With each camera from the Nikon D700, there have been compromises, and it was always two years behind Canon. Finally, when the D3 came, they had the lead again, but the price was too much for Nikon D700 justify for my semi-professional use. So I struggled with a couple of D300s for another eight months. The D300 is an excellent camera, but has some serious shortcomings: it is overexposed and especially in hot red channel. It ’s higher ISO performance is mediocre and actually kills detail. It ’s DX.

I bought a Nikon D700 refrain price $ 2950 and, as the price has dropped $ 200 a few days later. But I needed it for an assignment, are reproduced in low light would be garage.

I love everything about the D700 Nikon D700, with the exception of prices. Video should really have been on this camera, after all, the D90 has is a 1 / 3 of the price. Nikon did not find the ball as it appears on the D700.

Everything you have said, as a Nikon user I ‘m happy to finally 5D image quality in a full-frame Nikon, Nikon D700, although the price premium. Feel theD300/D700 combo of the current carry me for several years, and end with a transition to almost all the primary objectives when Nikon always their act together and offer some decent wide angle primes are going well here. In the meantime, I think the F 35 / 2, 50 f/1.4, 85 f/1.4, 105 small, 180 mm f/2.8 and 300 f / 4 for excellent results for this place. Sure to get –Handle for better balance and greater battery life. I think the D700 has better battery performance than the D300. Even if you do portraits, get a picture disc Expo customized settings and uploading of photos for the camera. The results are very kind.
